The Castlewood SY-WCSLR-BK Black Rustic Shiplap Wood Range Hood is constructed with weathered spruce planks (rough grain). It comes pre-finished with a custom black Sherwin-Williams paint. The black rustic shiplap design adds a touch of moody boldness to your space, while the high-quality wood construction ensures both durability and beauty.
This hood will come pre-finished in a custom black Sherwin-Williams paint. It has a removable access panel option which will allow you to remove two panels from the front of the hood. This allows for a smoother installation and easy access to the ventilator and ducting.
The multiple chimney height options make it easy to customize for your ceiling height, while the various ventilator options allow you to choose the appropriate CFM fan for your application.
Choose the solid plywood bottom if you are using a third party ventilator that is smaller than the interior opening of this hood

These wood range hood covers are designed to accept the liners and ventilators listed on this page as options. If you have a third party ventilator, please contact us to make sure the unit will fit. Most third party ventilators will require customization to the hood.
If you are struggling to decide which ventilator is the right fit for you, consider the range or cooktop this hood will cover. Electric cooktops generally require a lower CFM than gas cooktops.
Note: This hood does not fit the Ascension 900 and 1200 CFM ventilators. In order to fit the 900 and 1200 CFM ventilators you will need the XL version of this shiplap hood.

Standard chimney hoods are designed to fit a 9' ceiling application. Options to add or remove the chimney extension are available for higher and lower ceiling heights. Chimney extensions are also trimmable to fit in between heights.
The removable access option is designed to make installation of the duct work easier. It is also beneficial if any inspections are necessary. The removable panel consists of 2 shiplap planks constructed into a removable panel that pops on and off the hood. The catches are hidden and this does not alter the appearance of the hood.
Range hoods are large shipments and thus are shipped LTL freight. If this is being shipped to a residence, the carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery appointment.
This range hood qualifies for FREE SHIPPING! The hood, ventilator, and liner will be securely wrapped and packaged on a pallet. The pallet will be delivered LTL Freight through one of our approved carriers. Free shipping includes all the fees associated with a freight shipment like residential delivery fees and lift gate service fees. The lift gate service is used on residential deliveries, by the carrier, to lower the pallet off the truck so you do not have to off load it yourself.
