Arguably the most popular current range hood design trend is the shiplap chimney range hood. Thanks to all the rehab and house flipping TV shows, shiplap has become a buzz word in the kitchen and bath industry. Whether you are looking for a rustic or modern farmhouse design, there is a shiplap style for you. True reclaimed lumber material can be used to build a range hood but most manufacturers choose to use hardwood or softwood material which allows the customer more finishing options.
The shiplap range hood design is popular on many of the hit DIY TV shows out now and we offer our version at a fraction of the price you would receive from a custom range hood builder. Handcrafted in the southern United States, each shiplap range hood cover is a truly unique piece that will serve as the centerpiece of your kitchen. Join in on the shiplap trend and make your kitchen the attraction of the neighborhood.
Available shiplap range hood styles include a Rustic Shiplap Chimney Hood, Smooth Shiplap Chimney Hood, Shiplap Mantel Hood, Shiplap Box Hood, Arched Shiplap Box Hood and a Shiplap Hood Front.
Our Rustic Shiplap Range Hoods are constructed from rough grain, weathered, prefinished spruce. Available finishes include black, brown, dark gray, light gray, white, and white wash. A smooth unfinished hardwood shiplap hood is also available for customers who would like to finish the piece themselves. The smooth shiplap hood comes unfinished, sanded smooth and ready for paint or stain. This style is available in unfinished alder, cherry, hickory, maple, and red oak.
Standard range hood widths are 30", 36", 42", and 48" with standard heights for 8', 9', 10', and 11' ceilings. Anything over 11' will require additional chimney extension.
